The challenge presented by kids spending time on YouTube has been well-documented over the last few months. Ultimately, the platform was designed for adults, so there are limits to what content safeguards YouTube can put in place for the under-13 audience. Today, we’re stepping in to help by rolling out our SafeFam content certification for YouTubers with young audiences.
As our US business continues to rapidly scale (as well as our NYC head office, we have a presence in LA, SF and Chicago), we’ve been looking for the right leader to take it to the next level. We’re very pleased to announce that Kate O’Loughlin has joined us as our COO for North America. Kate was most recently Senior Vice President (Media) and General Manager at Tapad (acquired by Telenor for $360M). Prior to that she was Product Director at MediaMath.
Released yesterday, The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 league table has ranked SuperAwesome as the eighth fastest growing private tech company in Britain. This is the first year that SuperAwesome has appeared in the league table which ranks Britain’s private technology, media and telecoms (TMT) companies based on their growth in sales over the last three years of available data.
